At Doctors' Choice Awards, badges represent verified achievement in peer review. Here's what each badge means.
## The Badge System
Badges are earned, not purchased. They're based on the number of peer reviews a doctor receives and their overall rating. As doctors accumulate positive reviews, they progress through badge tiers.
## Bronze Badge
Requirement: 10+ peer reviews
A Bronze badge indicates that a doctor has been reviewed by at least 10 of their peers. This is the first level of recognition and shows that colleagues recognize the doctor's work.
## Silver Badge
Requirement: 25+ reviews with 4.5+ rating
Silver indicates sustained excellence. The doctor has received 25+ reviews and maintains a 4.5 star rating or higher. This shows consistent positive feedback from peers.
## Gold Badge
Requirement: 50+ reviews with 4.7+ rating
Gold badges are earned by doctors with 50+ peer reviews and a 4.7+ rating. These doctors are in the top percentage of their specialty.
## Platinum Badge
Requirement: 100+ reviews with 4.8+ rating
Platinum indicates exceptional recognition. With 100+ reviews and a 4.8+ rating, these doctors are recognized leaders in their field.
## Diamond Badge
Requirement: 200+ reviews with 4.9+ rating
Diamond is the elite tier. Only doctors with 200+ peer reviews and a 4.9+ rating earn this badge. These are the most recognized physicians on DCA.
Each tier represents significant achievement and peer recognition.
